THE TURKS is actually a single book that is published in two separate volumes. Since the vast majority of its sources are from the Turkish ones, the book delivers the history of the Turks from the viewpoint of non-Turks. The references were meticulously chosen from sources coming from well known respected authorities in their fields. Both books and articles written for reputable history journals were used as references for this book.

Please keep in mind that modern-day historians become experts only for the history of a specific geography in a specific time period. Hence, since the Turks had a long history involving three continents over a long period of more than two millennia there are no longer historians who would write about the entire history of the Turkish nation.

Consequently, this book is particularly important since it captures in evidence based fashion nearly the entire historical experiences of the Turkish nation.
